Get to Know Romeo

Hi, I’m Romeo Nasr, a 17-year-old race car driver from Sydney, NSW.

Motorsport has been my lifelong passion. My journey began at age 12, when I first got behind the wheel of a go kart. From that moment, the adrenaline and thrill of racing sparked my determination to push limits and seize every opportunity to grow in the sport.

In just five years, I’ve competed in Australia’s most prestigious karting events, consistently qualifying within the top 10% of drivers nationally and securing multiple top-five finishes, including rounds of the Australian Kart Championship.

My career highlights also include representing Australia on the world stage. From Spain and Italy to Belgium and Abu Dhabi, I’ve raced against the world’s best in events such as the Champions of the Future series, achieving several top-ten finishes on some of the most iconic karting circuits. These experiences not only sharpened my skills but also deepened my commitment to pursuing motorsport at the highest level.

Like many young racers, I always dreamed of competing at the iconic Mount Panorama, Bathurst — and this year that dream became reality. Teaming up with Isaac Demellweek in the Hytec Oils 6 Hour, we claimed victory in the Group D class, an unforgettable milestone in my career.

I’ve also been fortunate to learn from some of the best in the sport. Being mentored by drivers like Tim Slade has been an incredible experience, helping me refine my skills, racecraft, and approach to professional motorsport.

This year stepping up to car racing and competing in the Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Scholarship Series, this opportunity marked an important step towards my ultimate goal — securing a seat in V8 Supercars, Australia’s premier motorsport category.
